So this is what happens when you don't pick the okra. They turn into okra seed pods. Guess I'll dry them out and try and use them for next years crop.

So here we are in the Dog Days of Summer and my garden is actually doing just fine. Rain free here since 7-26-10 I believe.
Okra is finally blooming. Yes, more yellow flowers.
Last year by this time I was already on my third batch of Okra as I guess they were more conducive to last year's drought as opposed to this year's normal weather. Okra is my fave. Next year I will plant 16 squares of Okra instead of just seven squares.
