They had to roll me out the joint. Literally, they had to roll me out for I ate so much.
This joint tucked away in a non-descript strip center on Bitters is definitely a mom/pop restaurant and I'm all for that. I could find no website. The Carne Asada Fries were recommended and we had those first as an appetizer. The plate was HUGE and had no right being called an appetizer. The meat was tender. I wanted more but knew my main meal was coming up shortly.
S had the chimichanga. It was also HUGE. S said it was tasty.
This little chica looked down on us as we 'supped tonight. What a cutey pie.
I ordered the Chile Relleno and Cheese Enchilada plate but by gorging on the Asada Fries, I didn't even get to finish this plate. I thought I could taste real Mexican cheese which really, is an acquired taste. The chile gravy was well made and authentic.
This restaurant is probably really good for breakfast. I shall give it a try one day. Actually, I think I will come here every day so I can dethrone @Rudedogtx as Foursquare Mayor. I half expected to see him in this joint as he really likes this place.

PS: Coming home and finding Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution on the tube gave me the biggest guilt trip ever. All the food tonight, I am sure, was made w/ good old fashioned lard.
PPS: Having blood work in the morning and hope this meal doesn't skew my results. Boo.
PPPS: Every time I pass by this restaurant I say out loud, "Los Robertos". It is an inside joke as the neighbors across the street are the Roberts and I have always called them Mr. & Mrs. Robertos. LOL.
