So I've been on a lo-carb kick this entire week and have been very, very good. Went to my fave Korean restaurant for lunch to get some bulgogi which would satisfy that lo-carb need. Saw someone eating this meal and knew that was what I would have to try.
You already know my primer, if you go to an Asian Restaurant and it is full of Asian customers, then you are in the right restaurant. That was the case today as we went to Kiku Garden on I35 but the truth is we were actually headed to Ilsong Garden but they were closed for the holidays.
So first thing we notice is that there is no lunch special today. We heard someone ask why and all the waitress could mutter was "no lunch special today".
So it would be lunch at dinner prices then.
I had the Bulgogi and normally for lunch they serve it in a sort of Japanese Bento Box but today I got the whole kit-n-kaboodle.
Started out with the miso soup and Barley Water. Soup was well seasoned and very tasty. Drinking Barley Water makes me feel like I am not quite the poser when it comes to Korean food.
