REVIEW: Mr. Tim's Country Kitchen
Started the day craving DIM SUM but Golden Wok had a line around the block due to Mother's Day. How we ended up in Southtown I'll never figure out but so glad we stopped here at this mom and pop restaurant. I could find a website. Mr. Tim's is on South Presa.
As we were waiting for our food to arrive, they brought us out a couple of giant biscuits to enjoy. Definitely homemade and from scratch, these melt in your mouth delights were so good. I had mine drizzled with honey I had the chicken fried steak and eggs Always I have to compare the chicken fried steak to my fave chicken fried steak at Tip Top and I have to say it was pretty good. The meat was tender and the gravy was flavorful and although the portion size was not as big as Tip Top, I had plenty to eat. My sunny side eggs were delicious. I'm thinking they were organic and fresh they had so much flavor. My hash browns were simply there. They did not stick together very well My breakfast companion had the Mr Tim's Breakfast which included eggs and protein and pancakes. Oh wow, check out the size of those plate-size pancakes. S said they were fresh and tasty. So my friends, if you ever find yourself craving Dim Sum but find your self in Southtown, swing on over to Mr. Tim's but arrive hungry, the generous portions will astound you. The flavorful food will delight you.
