REVIEW: Luke

Finally made it down to the riverwalk to eat at Chef John Besh's LUKE.  It was worth the wait but now I want to go back again already.

There for brunch on a Sunday, I start out with the Bloody Mary.  I can not locate it on the menu but it's not often you find crawdaddies straddling the lip of your mason jar full of toxic alcohol.  This drink was big and good but one was enough.  My head is still buzzing as I write this review today.

I had the quail and waffles.  First bite into the quail and I was in heaven.  Subtle spices and tender meat was a bite full of bliss. The dipping sauce was divine as well.

The waffles were well made and the maple syrup was a nice compliment.

My companions had the omlette and french toast and they both devoured their dishes too.  Frites were delicious as well.

Near perfection.
