REVIEW: Liberty Bar

Even though we arrived about twenty minutes too early, before they opened for the day, the courteous wait staff sat us at our table anyway.  I asked if they could perhaps make me a Bloody Mary?  They obliged.  And it was good and strong.

Arriving early we got to check out the old place.  This used to be a convent before they converted it to a restaurant and this was the restaurant that used to be on Josephine Street.  You know, the place that leaned a bit to the right?  Or was that to the left? Either way, this place was decked out nicely and didn't seem as pretentious as the old place.

I had the Grilled Pork Sausage Omlette.  My companions had the Liberty French Toast.

My meal was really very good.  The omlette was stuffed with the Pork Sausage that was very hearty and savory.  Was this homemade sausage?

Sides of papas were seasoned with just that extra spice that gave it a nice kick.

And who has ever heard of refried black beans.  I heart black beans.  A great idea that I will try on my own.

Two slices of thick toast and some sort of berry jam that also tasted homemade.

My breakfast was well proportioned and tasty that I didn't even mind paying $9 for a Bloody Mary.

4.5 Stars out of 5

PS:  Again, all the wait staff was very courteous and attentive.

PPS:  My companions raved about their French Toast.

PPPS:  The complimentary Mexican Chocolate Cookies were a great way to end our fabulous meal.  I recommend this place.  I will try lunch soon.
