REVIEW: Dough Pizzeria Napoletana

I am shirking my blogging duties.  I thought I had already blogged about eating at Dough Pizzeria Napolitana but apparently I have not.

With the recent hoopla over the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives appearance, this place is going to be even busier and even more difficult to secure a table.  Wait---I promise it will be worth it.

Today we had this for our appetizer.

I’m sorry but just can’t locate it on the menu but it’s a big ole’ ball of fresh mozzarella filled with even more mozzarella of sorts with heirloom tomatoes and bread.  It was divine and I highly recommend it.  There was so much of this appetizer for two that it most certainly could double as an entrée in a pinch.

Today we tried the PORK LOVE pizza:

Tomato sauce, house-made mozzarella, salami, sausage, pancetta, & speck.

Now I don’t claim to know what speck is but I’m sure it is this ingredient that supplies the extra punch to this meaty pizza.  The char on the pizza dough is excellent and adds another layer of intrigue to their unique pizzas.

4.5 Stars out of 5

PS:  I really would come here more often but S hates to wait.  We even came here once when they first open and there were already people waiting in line.  Peeps know a good thing when they see it.

PPS:  Sitting outside, I am always someone is going to lose control of their vehicle and smash right into the joint.

PPPS:  I always thought I made a pretty decent homeade pizza but this place puts me to shame.
