#greenchile RECIPE OF THE DAY: Down Home Green Chile Skillet Pie

1 pound hamburger meat
1/2 onion chopped
3 cloves garlic chopped
1 can cream-style corn
10 oz Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Hatch green chile roasted and chopped
1 package Marie Callender cornbread mix
Grease large cast iron skillet.
Brown meat with onions and garlic. Drain and set aside.Update
Mix cornbread mix according to package instructions.
Line skillet with half of the mixture.
Mix together meat mixture; 9 oz of cheese; chile and cream-style corn. Spread in skillet.
Top with remaining cornbread mixture.
Bake @ 375 degrees for 40 minutes. During last 5 minutes of baking, top with left-over cheese.
Serves 8. Enjoy.
