#GreenChile Hatch Green Chile
Now that the Hatch Green Chiles have been harvested and have arrived in San Antonio, everything I cook for the next few weeks will probably contain green chile.
As a native New Mexican, I was weened on this stuff and crave it like crazy all the time.
Thank the Lard for HEB Central Market for as long as I have lived in San Antonio, they have been having their Hatch Chile Festival. Coincidence? I think not.
Picked up my first batch the other day to practice on my recipe that I will submit for their contest. Roasted them myself on my comal as the giant chile roasters were not yet in place.
This morning I had an egg white omelet stuffed with green chile.
Last night I had Roasted Chicken with green chile squash.
Tonight I will make Chile Rellenos.
I love this time of year.
